Food is very good. Unfortunately, service was very inattentive on our last visit. Only when we asked were new drinks served and the bill brought. Otherwise they would probably wait today.

We were welcomed very nicely on Saturday at noon and felt really safe despite Corona. The food was very good, the service couldn't be better. We will come back in any case!

The food and wine were good and the service friendly, but you can expect more professionalism with the prices, such as clean glasses and that the waitress knows how to pronounce Chianti.

Underground! I was promised that I ... as soon as something becomes free ... may sit outside. Schwuppdiwupp everyone who came after me ... and more than one person was ... led outside. As an individual ... unfortunately it doesn't matter! The food ... the price doesn't bother me ... just bad. The schnitzel is either bought ready-made or the cook is simply preparing it incorrectly. You can learn it yourself on the Internet.

Nice restaurant, nice service but the food is not worth the money. We had 3 different dishes, each of which we could have eaten 10 € cheaper elsewhere.

We were in the vine again this afternoon. We feel very comfortable here, because the service is very pleasant and attentive, (was served today by Ms. Schmidt👍) she has excellent recommendations for the menu and the wines. The food was excellent . There is a pleasant atmosphere and a good climate in the restaurant. Ms. Schmidt is particularly attentive to special requests and is very committed and competent. This is what good service should look like. We can only recommend this restaurant. Definitely one of the best in Leipzig.

We have rarely eaten so well and were served excellently by 2 wonderfully attentive girls - thank you very much - we felt very comfortable. A cook conjured up the food on the plate, who practices his craft with love. Excellent meat and homemade side dishes. Wonderfully arranged. The good wine list needs to be mentioned. In any case, we have a new favorite restaurant in Leipzig.

Very pleasant restaurant. Attentive, friendly and trained service. That is rare nowadays. The food was very tasty. For that you like to pay the slightly higher price.

Very good food and nice location! The staff is also very nice and helpful. We had a late dinner and wanted to order desserts but the kitchen was closed from 10 pm. They still accepted and baked a whole new dessert for me even if the kitchen was supposed to be closed. They really care about their customers! I can only recommend.

Very high-end culinary experience. Started with a blueberry mousse (on the house). The appetizer dish (tiger shrimp and scallop salad) was incredible. Main course featured roast duck with perfectly crisp skin and tender flesh. Dessert (chocolate cake) was mouth watering and did not fail to deliver. Highly recommended

Drinks were good. Food was fair. Location is great! This restaurant management team seemed to have the same attitude towards Americans as many establishments in Leipzig---put us in a tucked away corner table in the back, away from the locals!! One positive attribute for our visit was the exceptional service and friendly attitude of our server...unfortunately, I can't recall his name, but he was a brunette originally from Budapest who previously worked on cruise ships. He was very empathetic to our unpleasant encounter when a local female resident approached our US group of 7 people, not once, but twice, as she requested that we limit our laughter and quiet our conversations! This obviously is not the fault of the restaurant, but it does seem to be the common theme supported by many local venues. It's unfortunate that we travel thousands of miles across the Atlantic to increase revenue and support local vendors with such enthusiasm, but are made to feel very unwelcome in your city.... it is our hope that as tourism from the US to Leipzig continues to grow, the cultural differences will be better aligned and appreciated 🇺🇸💞🇩🇪 We all had such positive comments about the unique and fun atmosphere in the Market Square, only to be marred by being shunned by the community 😥 Important to note that this corner restaurant was nearly empty most often, especially the patio area, while a competing restaurant just around the corner was jam packed with customers on their patio and indoor seating area at all times, compared to Weinstock.

great service, nice atmosphere. very good wines by the glass. tartar was good. the duck was of better quality but the red cabbage/ sauce was a little bit too salty.

Food is great, very nice traditional and seasonal options. Waiting time is usually short and everything is prepared fresh. Staff is really friendly, helpful and polite and it’s also not a problem to ask for your personal preferences or allergies. Great selection of wine too!

The food itself was pretty good, but waiting 50 minutes for a meal is simply too long. And service was very arrogant, with multiple servers passing by the tables specialised in ignoring the customers.

Day tour to Leipzig, and our late lunch stop after visiting the nearby zoo. Very lovely restaurant with lots or varieties and traditional food. We went for the plate of sausages from different parts of Germany. It was really delicious but the portion for us was too big to finish but we tried all of them. I highly recommend trying it and going to the restaurant. The beer was also really good and the service really attentive and polite. Going for a late lunch was not so busy as during normal lunch as it is located in the main square. The prices are acceptable and the quality of food and service are good.

Just one day tour here but so lucky for us can find this restaurant, we’ve had a lovely lunch here!! Nice wine, foods were really tasty, good service, everything was fine.

Loooved it! Highly recommend! I had the pork medallions and ask the waitress to recommend me some beer that would go well with it as she was superhelpfull! Prices are perhaps a bit higher but the quality is also high!

This is what I googled: persönliches Restaurant Leipzig Zentrum... and I got exactly that! Plus, the food was really good!

The food was pretty good, especially the tomato consommé, reasonably priced considering its overlooking the market as it seems like a busy tourist area to eat. Some specific vegetarian dishes unlike a lot of other German restaurants. Above average decor inside, would be a nice place for a date or special meal.

Excellent! - You won't be disappointed! I went there 3 times during my 5 day stay in the city. Unfortunately, I had had a few very disappointing meals in other places in Leipzig BEFORE I found Weinstock. It seems that the priority in many Leipzig restaurants is to offer cheap food rather than good food. At Weinstock they get it right. The beef filet was delicious, the consistency of the Semmelknödel spot on. I could have taken a bath in their delicious vegetable consomé. The pappardelle pasta was perfectly al dente. Their food prices may be slightly higher than other options in the area, but totally justified. Drinks and wines are priced well. And the location is top: Sitting on their terrace watching the people pass by is priceless!

I had a business dinner at this restaurant and the meeting was very important for me. That is why I had chosen this place. Beautiful and elegant atmosphere, the dishes were very diverse and able to satisfy even the fastidious taste of my future partners. Lobsters were wonderful here.

I was disappointed: we had the 3 course meal for 35€. The first course was good: smoked fish.The second was the saxony style potato cream soup, which was either overly salted or was chemically enhanced. The main course was a pheasant with a side of sauerkraut and mashed potatoes with a brown sauce. The pheasant was unusually bland and the sauce was overly salted. The staff was superficial and at one point unpleasant, due to the fact that the menu was a bit too complicated and the waitress was annoyed by my question. So I would not recommend this restaurant.
